Ever Ask Yourself What hair color would look best on me? Want To Know What color goes best with what skin tones? These are the questions you'll need to ask yourself and a hair care specialist before changing your hair color. As a professional stylist, trained by one of the top colorist in Los Angeles, let me give you a general guide. Individuals vary, so always consult your stylist before changing your hair color. I always suggest a personal consultation with a trained colorist to get the best result.

Let's start with the FAIR SKINNED girls (and guys too...)

If your skin makes you look like you're allergic to the sun, it's best to stick with light colors: blondes, warm blondes, gold, coppers, natural to strawberry.

For the fair girls with a healthy glow (warm undertones):

You've got more colors to play with. Try anything that makes you happy: from a Marilyn platinum blonde to the light browns.

For our MEDIUM TO DARK SKINNED ladies (or gents):

Your look is the exotic type, maybe you're the island girl with the tan all the other gals envy. You'll want to run with that as far as you can, so pick from a medium blonde to a dark brown. That is an extremely wide range of colors and tones you can play with, try out a few before you make a permanent decision!

And finally, our CHOCOLATE SKINNED folks:

Your look is smooth, well polished, and you need to work with your dark tones if you're going to keep looking pulled together. For the most flattering look, stay between a medium brown and dark brown base color.

Add highlights in the mid-light ranges of brown and lows in the darker more chocolaty browns. Keep the base natural or reddish. Golds don't show up in hair colors this dark. Red is your only warm option, unless you are pre lightening sections to achieve brighter colors.

Living in the 21st century means we get to improve on mother nature sometimes! Picking the perfect color for your hair will highlight the best features of your complexion, letting your inner beauty shine more brightly. Use some rinse in colors to test and when you find the one you love, make it permanent!

Do you have questions on how to take care of black hair? Here are some useful tips on how to lose less hair while combing.

1. Always Use Bone Combs

Bones combs are one of the biggest saviors of black hair. They have a smooth surface without the sharp ridges in regular plastic combs. This totally eliminates any damage you would normally get from the microscopic jagged sharp edge on the ridge of the comb. Imagine the damage that could so sawing away at your hair day after day?

2. Start From The Ends

Are you someone who rips a comb through your hair from roots to ends and then wonders why your hair is always damaged? This is a recipe for disaster and nothing creates tangles and breakage faster. The better way to detangle hair is from ends to roots. Working inch by inch up the length of the hair separates tangles and saves you tons of hair in the process.

3. Put Your Combing On Go Slow

This is the most important tip above all others. Ripping your comb through your hair because you're impatient or hurrying is one of the worst things you could ever do to your hair. Be sure to set aside enough time to take care of your hair everyday so you won't be tempted to rush through and tear your hair out in the process.

Use these black hair care tips when you're combing your hair and you'll start to see less hair in your sink and more hair on your head.

You have probably heard the numerous ways to prevent hair loss, and most of these are purchasing products filled with chemicals and man made products that will ultimately harm and possibly damage your hair. While everyone's hair is different, following simple steps will help prevent hair loss naturally and cost effectively.

1. Purchase an all natural and high quality hair growth product. If you are able to find a good quality organic shampoo and or hair growth product that is the way to go. Organic can be costly, but with all natural ingredients, you are doing your hair a good service.

2. Engage in a healthy, hair growth promoting diet. Your hair is mostly made up of protein and you need to keep high enough amounts of it in what you consume in order to have healthy, full hair and prevent hair loss.

3. One of the most important steps to help your hair is drinking eight to ten glasses of water every day. Your body is made up of 75% water, and if your body is healthy, then your mane will be too.

4. Your happinesslifetime.com hair care products, including styling products may be harming your tresses. Most of these products include chemicals that are not recommended for use on your hair. How you style your mane and many techniques you use may also have an adverse effect on your locks.

5. Your lifestyle may be affecting your growth and even contributing to hair loss. If you aren't getting enough sleep, or have too much stress in your life, you could be damaging your mane

Grey hair on women used to carry a certain stigma, but these days young starlets are rushing out to replicate the silvery sheen traditionally associated with their more well-travelled counterparts.

This article gives a lowdown on the new trend for grey hair. Read on to find out why grey has become so popular, which celebs are embracing this fresh new look, and how you can achieve it yourself.

Why is grey hair suddenly so popular?

Grey hair is sometimes considered to be undesirable, and many people choose to cover up or dye theirs. However, if treated properly, naturally grey or dyed grey hair can be an extremely stylish and elegant look. In fact, grey has hit the headlines recently with stylish celebs stepping out while sporting newly silver locks, this bold new effect just screaming 'look at me!'

Inspired by those fashion leaders, the trend is now catching on with young fashionistas everywhere, who are keen to challenge the norm, make a stand against the traditional 'silver stigma', and experiment with this radical choice.

Who's doing it?

Kate moss, Kelly Osbourne, Kelis, Pixie Geldof and Ellie Goulding are just some of the big names who have recently joined the grey brigade, and each of them has interpreted the style in their own individual way. All of these stars, though, cleverly match their silky silver hair with perfectly cared for, youthful-looking skin and vibrant make-up to ensure the look is more edgy than ageing.

How to achieve the look:

The first step to achieving silvery locks is to bleach the hair from root to tip to a very light blonde. From here, it will be possible to add the grey colour with a toner, the key being making sure you keep it in for the right length of time. This look is tricky to achieve solo and you might want to head to a salon so a stylist can work their magic on you instead.

Remember, bleaching is hard on your hair and you need to adapt your hair care routine to counteract the drying effect it can have. Opt for a deep moisturising shampoo and conditioner from top hair care brands like Kerastase or Tigi, to keep the hair looking smooth and silky.

Hair care tips for naturally grey hair:

Naturally grey hair can be a highly chic and bold look, but for the best results greyer hair needs to be looked after with the correct happinesslifetime.com hair care products, normally including moisturising shampoos and conditioners. There are professional 'anti-aging' hair care shampoos available which will add moisture to the hair and control the cuticle. Greying hair may also need conditioner colour enhancers as grey hair tends to absorb pollutants from the air, and can otherwise look as though it has become stained by tobacco.

Professional happinesslifetime.com hair care products can make all the difference to grey or greying hair, bringing out the shine and volume needed to create a really strong impression, and keeping the colour vibrant and clean. Ask your stylist to recommend the right types of happinesslifetime.com hair care products for you, and be prepared to spend a little more if you want to achieve the best results. Make sure you treat your silver locks properly and they should stay shimmering and shiny every day!

Got Curls? You're in luck! There is a large assortment of happinesslifetime.com hair care products, hair dryers, and heat styling appliances solely dedicated to caring and caressing curls of every shape and size. Whether you have naturally kinky hair, soft curls, or loose waves you can find everything you need to keep your curly hairstyle looking great. Born without curls? These top tips will help you create more defined, longer lasting curls with hot rollers, curling irons, or flat irons with curved plates. From carefree corkscrews to ravishing ringlets, if you have curls, these tips are for you.

Humidity Proofing

In my opinion, carefree curls are always in style, but only if they look healthy and defined. If you have curly hair you already know that humidity is curl enemy #1 and there is nothing worse than a head full of frizzy curls. Keep your curly hairstyle free of frizz and fly-aways with some of my favorite frizz fighters:

Frizz Ease Daily Nourishment Leave-in Fortifying Spray, KMS California Curlup Curling Balm, Matrix Curl. Life Body Shaping Foam, CurlFriends Tame Smoothing Serum.

Defining Moments

Whether your curly style is long and loose or tightly wound, curls need definition to look healthy. The less definition to a curl, the more unfinished and unhealthy it looks. Tousled, sexy curls are pretty, unruly, messy curls make people cringe. Coax your curls into shapely, sexy, curves with these best-selling curl definers:

John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Starlit Waves Wave Enhancing Spray, got2b Kinky Curl Defining Curling Mousse, CurlFriends Nourish Rinse Out Conditioner, TIGI Catwalk Curls Rock Curl Amplifier, Sebastian Hi Contrast Gel.

Diffuse the Situation

A diffuser is really a curl's best friend. Built on the principle that curls should be pampered and not blown dry into a knotty mess, diffusers come in many varieties perfect for short curly hairstyles and long alike. Shorter styles dry faster, longer lengths take more time, so be sure your diffuser works well with your hair dryer to crank out enough airflow for the length of your locks. These diffusers deliver power and pampering at the same time:

Babyliss Pro Diffuser, Metropolis Z-Ion Zirconia Ionic Diffuser, T3 Diffuser, Bio Ionic iDiffuse Ionic Conditioning Diffuser.

Mega Shine

Straight hair seems to shine effortlessly, but it's a myth to think that curly hairstyles cannot be super shiny too. You just need the right products...in the right amounts. Whether you choose a glossing styling spray, a shine enhancing lotion, or a polishing cr?me, just remember that less is more when applying any shine enhancer. Turn your shine up to eleven with these mega shine must-haves created especially for curly locks:

John Frieda Frizz-Ease Instant Touch Up Glossing Spray, Got2b Glossy Anti-Frizz Shine Serum, Alfaparf Cristalli Illuminating Shine Shaping Gel, CurlFriends Shine Hair Gloss.

Curl Friendly Choices

Curl texture plays a big part in how cooperative your curls can be, and there are lots of curl friendly product lines on the market today that are tailor made for your type of curls and styling needs. From shampoos and conditioners, to styling creams and hairsprays, there are entire brands dedicated to making curls look their curviest. Bravo to these curl friendly brands:

Curl.Life by Matrix, CurlFriends, Curly Hair Solutions, Curly Sexy Hair by Sexy Hair Concepts.

Curl Diva

Caress those curls with a hair dryer made just for them! Promising power to produce 6 times more negative ions than any other negative ion hair dryer in the world, and created with most unique diffuser innovation in over 60 years, this hair dryer and diffuser combo is specifically designed for curls and waves. There might be a few curly-specific hair dryers on the market today, but only one for divas:

DevaSun Dryer and Diva Fuser.

With products like these you can get your curls into sexy, carefree curves in no time!

Everyone dreams of having thick and healthy hair but not all people are blessed with strong ones and some even suffer from hair loss. However, there are a lot of hair loss solutions in the market today that can help individuals improve their hair condition. You can solve your thinning problems as long as you acquire an effective care routine. It is recommended to use natural happinesslifetime.com hair care products in order to have healthier hair.

One of the important hair loss solutions that you need to remember is rinsing after using shampoo and conditioner. It is also an option to make natural hair rinses with natural and fresh ingredients. Aside from its efficiency, natural ingredients also release sweet fragrances.

It is also recommended to dry hair in a natural way instead of using dryer. But if you need to use a dryer, make sure not to focus on just one area of your scalp. In addition, make sure to keep the dryer at a distance while using it.

As much as possible, use wooden comb with smooth tooth in order to prevent hair damage. Remember that your hair is very delicate especially when wet so it is best not to comb it when it's wet.

Aside from hair care routines, it is also necessary to eat healthy foods and be certain that you get enough minerals and vitamins that are good for your hair such as vitamin A and vitamin E.

You can also use herbal medications to help with your hair loss problems and improve your hair condition. Herbal ingredients such as aloe vera, amalaki or Indian gooseberry and bhringaraja are known to be effective in treating different problems.

The subject of hair loss prevention, diligence and knowledge on proper hair care play important roles in avoiding hair loss. However, not all causes of hair loss are within our control, a good majority of the leading reasons for such a condition can be avoided with the correct regimens in caring for our scalp.

So what are the proper steps for hair loss prevention, you might ask? One step is to avoid putting too many harsh chemicals on your hair. Hair will grow healthy quite naturally. If you stick with the basics, you'll have a healthier scalp and can avoid hair loss.

While shampooing your hair, make sure that you'll give your scalp some good kneading and rubbing, to stimulate the follicles and promote sound hair growth.

An effective hair loss prevention technique is supplementing your diet with the vitamins and nutrients needed for healthy hair growth. Vitamin B6, vitamin E, biotin, amino acids and zinc are essential components for the continual stimulation of the hair follicles. Being able to acquire a daily recommended dosage of these vitamins and nutrients will help you correct any hormonal imbalance that could potentially damage your hair. And since heredity is one of the leading causes of hair loss, balancing your hormones would also ensure that your descendants won't have to suffer the curse of Alopecia.

These are simple steps for hair loss prevention, but they would require some commitment from you. To keep yourself motivated, always remember the fact that no one is spared from the potential of hair loss. Doing something about it today will ensure that your hair will always remain on top, figuratively and literally speaking.

Then more and more of your closest friends notice how your hair is getting thinner. The best hair loss remedies, however, aren't those which you could purchase over the counter. We're talking about natural hair loss remedies that you could employ yourself, wherever you may be, whatever time of the day you wish to observe the same.

Hair loss is primarily caused by one or all of these three factors.

1. Heredity

2. Stress

3. Neglect

There is a fourth one, that is, hair loss as a consequence of another ailment or disease. For example, hair loss caused by heredity can be remedied through an intake of vitamins A, B6 and E, as well as nutrients such as zinc, biotin and some amino acids can help.

If you're losing your hair because of stress, on the other hand, then giving yourself some time to rest and relax would be the best among the hair loss remedies available to you. Neglect is the easiest to remedy. All you need is to muster enough commitment to employ proper care for your hair. Avoid overexposure under direct sunlight. Keep your hair and scalp moisturized so that they may be fed with the proper pH level that they need to say healthy.

Hair loss does not have to be expensive if you look into natural solutions before it becomes a problem. With proper research you can avoid hair loss well in advance.

There are several diseases of the scalp which can cause hair fall and thinning - Alopecia being the most common among them. Proper care of scalp is an essential requirement for having good tresses. Several treatments are prescribed for ensuring a healthy scalp. Some of them are -

* Regular massage of the scalp leads to increased blood circulation which encourages hair growth. Hair experts give emphasis on massaging hair roots with oil especially in winter. They consider the treatment of roots as the most significant part of hair care. Massaging regularly with jojoba and rosemary oil is highly beneficial.

* Applying the following homemade paste will nourish the roots. Take freshly grated ginger and mix sesame oil in it. Apply this mixture on the roots after washing. Leave it for at least 20 minutes and then wash with shampoo.

* Many people develop fungal infection in the roots. This infection is caused by ringworms. Self-care in this case is not at all a good idea and a dermatologist should be consulted for treatment.

* Dandruff occurs due to a dry scalp. It can also lead to hair loss. Massaging the scalp with warm coconut oil helps reduce this problem to a great extent. But if the problem still persists, intensive care is required. Visiting hair clinics can be very helpful as experts will be able to diagnose the problem and offer a suitable solution.

* Lemon juice is very effective against dandruff. It should be applied before washing with shampoo.

* A vinegar conditioner can also work well against dandruff. Mix one part vinegar and three parts water. Use this solution before applying shampoo. Aloe Vera is also good in treating this disease.

* Having a healthy diet with lots of green leafy vegetable and fruits can boost oil secretion in the roots and keep them moist. Adequate intake of water is also helpful in preventing scalp disorders.

Although home remedies can be highly effective one should take an expert's advice especially in complex or chronic cases. There dedicated scalp treatment clinics which provide effective treatment for a wide range of hair problems. They use high quality products and the latest equipment which ensures the best solutions.

One of the main complaints when it comes to men's hair care is thin hair due to hair loss. But there are plenty of natural ways for men to plump up thinning hair, without resorting to the style travesties of plugs or comb overs. Here are the top 10 tips for plumping up thinning hair naturally.

1. Ask your stylist to give you a volume enhancing cut which minimizes any bald areas and helps to create a fuller look naturally. A good stylist will be able create a smart look which gives you the ability to plump the hair after each wash. They may also suggest some high quality salon hair products to create the look you are after. If you can afford them then this is usually a good investment.

2. Try a volume enhancing shampoo and try not to use heavy or moisturising shampoos as these can weigh down the hair, making it look thinner. Ideally, choose salon products or other high quality hair care products, these have superior ingredients which will not build up residue on the hair as some cheaper products can.

3. Finish your wash with a blast of very cold water. This may seem a little uncomfortable at first, but it only needs to be for a few seconds, to cover the hair, and it will help to increase shine and fullness.

4. When drying the hair, treat it carefully. Blot the hair dry instead of rubbing, as rough treatment can speed up hair loss.

5. Try a volume root enhancer - there are lots of hair care products on the market which can do this, again, salon products usually give better results due to their higher quality ingredients.

6. To blow dry, separate the hair into 1-2 inch sections. Lift each section using a barrel brush and blow dry from the roots to the ends to ruffle the cuticle, giving a fuller appearance.

7. A more unusual hair care tip is to try blow drying upside down. While this tip is not for everyone, it can encourage the hair to move away from a flat position on the head, giving a fuller appearance.

8. Blow dry with cold air on a slow setting. This can take longer to complete but will help give a more finished and full look.

9. Use your fingers to style your hair. This is a handy hair care tip for thinning hair because using a brush or comb can unintentionally flatten the hair and deflate the full look. If after all your hard work the hairstyle looks too fluffy, put some hair spray onto your fingers for styling and pick out lightly apply to some strands. Don't put the spray directly onto the hair as this can flatten it.

10. Try not to use hair gels as these can flatten the hair. If you must use some, choose a volume enhancing gel designed to increase fullness.
