Having access to useful black women hair care tips is a must if you want to create a head of hair you can be proud of. Here are some things you can do to make sure your hair is getting the best care possible to encourage health and growth.
1. Wash Your Hair Regularly
Your hair needs moisture and the only way to get it is by washing and conditioning your hair on a regular basis. While washing twice a week is best (doing a conditioner wash one of the times), at the very least you should wash and condition one per week.
2. Deep Condition With Moisture And Protein
Strength and flexibility are the two cornerstones of health for your hair. Too much or too little of one or the other is a bad thing for your hairs health and growth.
Learn how to listen to your hair and know what it needs from week to week. Follow up with a protein and moisture treatment (which should always be done on the same day) or just a moisturizing treatment (which can be done by on its own).
3. Treat Your Hair Gently
In its natural state, black hair looks strong, tough and able to stand up to anything however nothing could be further from the truth. Kinky textured hair is actually the weakest of all hair types because the structure of the hair isn't the same along the length of the hair. Because of this, it's very important to be gentle and patient when dealing with the hair.
Rather than tearing through knots and tangles, apply some extra conditioner, use an extra large toothed comb and put aside an hour or so to take care of your hair on wash day.
