1. Wash Your Hair Regularly

Your hair needs moisture and the only way to get it is by washing and conditioning your hair on a regular basis. While washing twice a week is best (doing a conditioner wash one of the times), at the very least you should wash and condition one per week.

Kinky textured hair is actually the weakest of all hair types because the structure of the hair isn't the same along the length of the hair. Because of this, it's very important to be gentle and patient when dealing with the hair.

Rather than tearing through knots and tangles, apply some extra conditioner, use an extra large toothed comb and put aside an hour or so to take care of your hair on wash day.
