Many people find the winter months are tough on their hair, but you don't want to suffer with dry, brittle, dull or damaged locks during the festive season - just think of all those glamorous Christmas parties you need to attend! From using the best hair care products to getting a hat that fits, follow our simple dos and don'ts for winter hair care and you'll be sure to stay glossy and supple all the way through into spring.

DO: Protect your hair from the elements

Special care should be taken when going out in wintery conditions. When you're going outside on a cold and blustery day, a scarf or hat can protect your hair, although continuously wearing hats can have the reverse effect. Make sure your headwear is not too tight because otherwise this can lead to limp and greasy hair as a result of overworked sebaceous glands. Try not to go out on a very cold day while your hair is wet, as the hair can freeze and is at high risk of breakage.

DON'T: Shampoo too often

A lot of winter hair care is to do with keeping the hair well moisturized, as the cold weather and central heating combined can have the effect of drying out the hair. Shampooing the hair too often can exacerbate dryness just at the point when the hair and scalp are drying out more easily. Try not to shampoo more than once a day, and aim to use only high quality hair care products which actively moisturize the hair. Look for the word 'replenish' as this means the product will add moisture to the hair. You can lock in moisture and add shine by running the hair under cold water after shampooing.

DO: Use a good conditioner

Perhaps more than at other times of the year, in winter conditioning your hair can really make a difference to its feel and appearance, and professional hair care products are a must when conditioning. Use a top quality, moisturizing conditioner each time you wash. Ideally, once a week, use a richer conditioner, slather on and wrap the hair in a towel for ten minutes. This allows moisture to penetrate more deeply into the hair as a result of the humid environment created. When styling, a silicone-based serum can help to tame the frizz and increase moisture levels even further.

DON'T: Overdo it on the hot tools

During winter, the hair is exposed to extreme temperatures, and this is the major reason for its suffering. Outdoor weather combined with central heating increase static and dryness, as do tools such as curling irons and blow dryers. While you cannot escape from the first two problems, you can limit your use of hot items, as well as protecting the hair by applying a leave in conditioner before use. Washing the hair in warm water rather than hot water can also help, as can using the 'cool' setting on your hairdryer. This can mean that drying your hair takes longer, but the damage done should be reduced.

Whether you are giving your hair some highlights or perming your locks, the treatments can have a big effect on the long term quality of your hair.

Many hair stylists and health professionals agree that providing sometime between treatments may give your hair a much needed break to recuperate after each hair style.

When perming or ironing your hair, you essentially fry the cuticle all the way down to the hair cortex (or inner tube where the true color of your hair lies.) Applying heat on a regular basis loosens the hair scales, curling them up. This may temporarily seem like a good thing because your hair seems fuller. However, in reality each scale that lifts up due to repeated heat applications becomes a potential point at which to start an ugly split end!

Also, the frying of your hair for hairstyling purposes also burns off the essential oils that your hair needs to maintain its luster and natural protection against split ends. The excess perming, ironing, and chemical treatments signals to the sebaceous gland that it needs to produce more oils to make up the difference. The increased oil production can clog pores and lead to build up on the scalp, causing dandruff.

Also the excess production of oils can lead to foul smelling scalps because excess oil and dandruff creates an explosion of your bacterial micro flora - which everyone has. A balanced micro flora allows for an optimal scalp condition, very little dandruff, and great looking hair (not to mention an absence of foul scalp odor).

If you have the mentioned conditions, here is what to do:

Give your hair a rest: If you're perming, heating, ironing daily or even weekly, stop for awhile (it's hard for me to say when, because it depends on the condition your hair is currently in.) Whatever the condition, allow your hair to grow a couple of inches before you pick right back up again.

Shampoo your hair with a cleansing shampoo without fragrances. There are some really inexpensive ones on the market right now. Do this every other day, allowing your hair to breath and produce its own oils.

If you need to heat your hair, first towel dry half way. Then blow dry or iron.

You can try a leave in conditioner but try to choose a less greasy one. Remember, you're also trying to rid yourself of that foul scalp odor too and doing that requires that we try and balance out the micro flora on your scalp. This means a reduction in build-up of product, dandruff, dried shampoo and conditioners.

You should consider taking a hair fortifying supplement that will strengthen the core of the hair as well as provide optimal support to the cuticle (the outer layer - which we see) and the follicle, which is where the hair "factory" resides.

We all know that our hair is made up of mostly proteins. There are many things that can destroy and damage the hair bond and protein balance - sun, hair color treatments, highlights, excessive styling, relaxers, and general lack of nutrition and amino acids are several factors that destroy the natural balance and condition of our hair. Proper hair care requires not only careful styling and design, but requires a focus on infusing moisture and balanced nutrition to maintain healthy hair.

Our hair grows from the roots and therefore requires proper nutrition and vitamins for healthy growth and to avoid temporary hair loss and damage and to grow strong, healthy and resilient. Proper nutrition must be maintained to allow for faster growing, manageable hair.

Many vitamin supplements lack required nutrients and vitamins to target healthy hair. They often do not provide necessary amino acids and minerals that help bond the hair's structure. Likewise, shampoos and conditioners, though they may infuse moisture and add volume, may lack nutrients for the root and bulb - the epicenter of hair growth and health.

Our hair requires ample amounts of vitamins and nutrients the same way our body does. If you are starting a hair vitamins supplement as part of your regimen, patience and consistency are the watch words for satisfactory results, but a formulated blend of vitamins and nutrients specifically formulated for hair, can lead to faster hair growth, slow or reversal of temporary hair loss, and provide you with stronger, silkier and more manageable hair. Let's review several of the necessary vitamins and minerals important in hair supplements:

Vitamins

Vitamin A - an antioxidant that helps produce healthy sebum (oil) in the scalp

Vitamin C - helps develop healthy hair and skin

Researchers in England have recently discovered paraben in breast tumors. Research has shown that parabens act like estrogen in the female body. Since breast cancer responds to estrogen, the research makes sense.

There are several types of paraben: Methylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Benzylparaben,

Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylparaben. They are often used as preservatives in hair care and cosmetic products. When you start reading the labels, you will be amazed at how many products contain one or more parabens.

If you want paraben free happinesslifetime.com hair care products, you will have to get good at reading the labels on all the products you purchase. Once you have identified which products are paraben free, you can begin to experiment to find your favorites.

There has been a huge increase in people interested in organic and natural beauty products. Several major companies are releasing paraben free hair, skin and cosmetic products. Many reputable studies have demonstrated the negative effect of paraben and other chemicals in our bodies. The CDC has found evidence of over 100 toxic chemicals in the blood and urine of people from all cultures and ethnic groups. As people become better educated about the potential dangers, they go looking for safer alternatives.

In addition to happinesslifetime.com hair care products, it is advisable to eliminate parabens from other sources as well. They are contained in most personal care products. You will need to start reading labels on cosmetic and happinesslifetime.com skin care products as well.

Parabens are also used in other products we put on our skin. They are found in deodorants, antiperspirants, lotions, body sprays and creams. Some research suggests that these products applied directly to the skin, may have a correlation with certain breast cancers. The effect of parabens is cumulative. The more products containing paraben that you use, the greater the effect on the body. For this reason, removing paraben from all beauty products is the best option. However, as we wait for companies to change their ingredients it's best that we are informed and reduce or try to eliminate using products containing parabens.

Hair is everybody's crowning glory.

The previous paragraph is the sole reason as to why beauty salons and shampoo companies have become the "in thing" in the business world. They earn money by caressing vanity, the very grain that is inherent in human nature. They awe us by parading beautiful girls with long, shiny hair. They instill in us the drama, the magic, the beautiful-girl-stories of finding fame and romance by sporting soft and shiny locks.

We buy these hair products. We try these salon treatments. But of course, none that is similar to those shampoo commercials ever happens to us. None ever will. But then we keep buying these products. We keep trying more salon treatments. Until we fail again.

It is sad that we end up forever victims of what we believe as the "great solution." We don't know that what we religiously follow at the back of shampoo bottles is not really a beauty secret, but actually a deceitful commercial script to bring more business for shampoo companies. In reality, constant usage of shampoo actually diminishes the strength and the shine of the hair. But because we have so much faith, we never put the blame on these products. Instead, we use more, buy more, hope even firmer that in the long run, we still will achieve the shampoo-model-type-hair.

The rationale for this is simple. Over washing the hair rids the natural oil from the scalp, thereby prodding the latter to produce more oil to compensate. This results dandruff and grease. Also there are residues from hair creams and shampoos that accumulates in the hair, making it more difficult to wash.

In an article by Natalie in stretcher. com, she gave tips on how to maintain a less-costly but healthy hair:

1. When you wash your hair, lather once, not twice (like all shampoo instructions suggest!). Wash your hair and scalp thoroughly, and then rinse.

Your hair might not feel "squeaky clean," but it will be as clean as with two lathers.

2. When possible, leave your hair without washing an extra day. Try not to wash your hair every day. Your hair will become less oily over time.

3.Brush your hair and scalp every day (your grandmother was right). This will stimulate your scalp, distribute protective oils throughout your hair, and combat dandruff.

4. Unless you've had your hair colored or permed in the last month, do not condition the hair at your scalp. This will discourage greasiness, and it will also save you money!

5. If you want a fresh feeling but don't want to shampoo, just run hot water over your hair in the shower. This will rinse away some of the dirt and even out your hair, so that it will look clean without having to shampoo.

There we go. There are actually more less-costly but more effective fixes that we can think of than depending on instant treatments. It is never wrong to look for easier alternatives, but hey, a beautiful mane is a treasure unworthy of being gambled. Let’s play it slow and sure. Beauty, after all, is not an overnight thing.

Confession time: are you satisfied with your hair?

Most guys aren't, whether they'll come clean about it or not. Depending on the type of hair you've got, styling and conditioning can lead to trouble. Too much conditioner and your hair has the greasy, limp look rocked by Milton in Office Space. Not enough and you've got the dead tumbleweed look you see on folk singers of the 1970s.

The brand name shampoos and conditioners you buy in stores are all made for the general population. Like cheesy pop music, they're meant to be safe for everyone. Huge international companies spend millions of dollars paying scientists to create happinesslifetime.com hair care products that won't offend or harm anyone. In other words, their stuff is the lowest common denominator.

Now, if you're not subjecting your ears to cheesy pop music, why should your hair be a victim to the lowest common denominator?

Your hair should ideally be washed and cleaned with happinesslifetime.com hair care products that work with your body's methods of protecting and nurturing your hair already. Your scalp and hair follicles produce oils that work to lubricate and protect all the hair on your head (that's why your hair feels oily when you don't wash it - your body works regardless of whether you clean it or not.). Conventional shampoos and conditioners strip away the body's natural oils, leaving your hair cleaned but vulnerable to the elements.

The chemicals inside these "cleaners" can actually damage your hair, too, so that while the hair looks clean it's in worse shape than when you started. Dry scalp - that itching, dead skin feeling you get at the roots of your hairs that you hope isn't dandruff - results from your hair getting strip-mined of its natural defenses.

An upper line shampoo, like those made from Baxter's of California or Sharp's, gently cleans the scalp while basically fertilizing the hair follicles and oil producing glands. The result is hair that's balanced without being stripped of its essential working parts or overfed oil and lubricants that leave you Milton-fied.

The best conditioners build on the foundation laid by a good shampoo, creating flexibility in your hair that makes it easier to manage. Conditioners made by upper line producers like Woody's use ingredients such as tea oil and other botanical extracts to give your entire head of hair equal strength and texture. Others, like Anthony Logistics and Billy Jealousy, combine many different types of natural ingredients such as jojoba, wheat oil an cocoa butter. Each one is a proven antidote to stress caused by heat, pollution, and normal wear and tear from wind and air conditioning.

Styling gels and conditioners play the same role in hair maintenance and development as shampoos and conditioners. You can follow the same strategies in selecting the best brand, such as Woody's Mega Firm Gel. These custom-engineered gels contain no alcohol (which is a bad for your hair as for your liver) and even a special sunscreen to keep the UV damage off your scalp. Getting control of your hair and making it last is a big step towards ultimate grooming, and a great means of looking your best.

Everyone yearns for long, beautiful thick hair, but now a day's blow straightening, curling and colour treatment of our hair often have damaging effects. This particular guide will tell you the benefits of using macadamia hair care as a hair rejuvenating treatment. Your hair will gain back health and shine in no time.

Macadamia hair care has been renowned as a treatment for both damaged and dried out skin and hair. The Macadamia hair oil is obtained from the nuts of the macadamia tree, and is sometimes included as a special ingredient in both skin care products and the best sunscreens. The reason for adding this oil is that it makes a great addition to both make up items and toiletries, as well as normal cooking oil.

While other normal oils can often make the hair and scalp greasy, the macadamia nut oil is quickly sucked into the hair follicles and scalp. This proves that there is no extra greasiness on the scalp. Another great benefit is that, macadamia nut oil is known to increase the strength of the hair all the way to the root, which results in longer, thicker, stronger hair in no time.

Before applying the oil on your hair, test a small bit on your hands. Pour a few drops into your palm, and carefully rub in. Remember the place on which the oil was applied. If no rashes or red spots occur within the next few days, you can rest assured that you do not have sensitivity to the oil.

A few extra tips for this treatment are, pour a couple of spoons of the oil into a cup or a bowl, and heat until slightly warm. Thoroughly apply the hot oil to your hair, always remembering to make sure that there is a fine layer over the entire length of all hair shafts, as well as on the scalp. Wash of the oil after about two hours. Two hours are more than enough for the hair to absorb all of the goodness of the macadamia hair oil. Macadamia hair care products have been mentioned frequently by the YouTube celebrity beauty reviewers Elle and Blair Fowler as well.

We pay so much attention to our delicate complexions, lavishing love, affection, and relentless attention on our faces. Our poor hair takes a beating, and it gets neither the attention nor the care and healing it needs. Most of the essential oils that work well on our skin double as essential oils for hair, making our locks as luscious and lovely as our comely countenances. But we forget. Do you have any idea just how much your hair endures for your sake? Those follicles and strands soak-up just about everything from outside and inside; you will remember crime scene scientists can reconstruct all of your recent history from a single strand of your hair. Just like you periodically erase your internet browsing history, you need to cleanse your hair of all it reveals about you.

Yes, your hair takes a beating, especially from Mother Nature. Sun scorches it, swimming just ravages it, wind dries it, the environment pollutes it, your indoor air exacerbates the outdoor pollution, and your tap water turns all that yucky stuff in your hair to a really high grade toxic soup. We probably could eradicate bad hair days like Jonas Salk eradicated polio if we simply would use our essential oils for hair.

Skin, hair, muscles, vital organs-name a system and the principle remains the same: Nature gives the beat-down, and Nature heals it. We can offer no clearer, more precise description of naturopathy's fundamental principle-right up there with vaccination and "a little of the toxin gives the antidote." Still, speaking in chorus and harmony with my Lakota ancestors, I insist Nature knows no bad medicine. So, if Nature and the environment assaulted your luscious locks, then we seek Nature's remedies for restoring them. And just for the sake of comparison, consider that the most popular commercial conditioners and "volumizers" work their magic with the same essential ingredient your boyfriend cherishes in his WD-40. Sure, I want all kinds of volatile organic compounds swirling around my face all day. No thanks. I'll take the avocado oil and aloe, please.

In the same way they nourish and replenish your skin, avocado oil and aloe vera restore your troubled tresses. Avocados do not number among the best diet foods, because they contain a lot of fat, but all that fat in avocados' essential oil puts hair on exactly the diet it needs. Avocadoes build hair's strong body at least twelve ways. Of course, all-right thinking essential oilists believe in aloe with and for everything.

Add rosemary to your list of indispensables for hair care. Powerfully aromatic with a heart-of-the-forest pine-like fragrance, rosemary cleanses, detoxifies, anti-oxidizes, disinfects, and generally scrubs and scours like a little brigade of bucketeers. Before you capitalize on rosemary's benefits for your bouffant, you may want to let go of its traditional associations: One of the best natural germicides, rosemary became the air-freshener of choice during medieval plagues, and it subsequently became associated with death-not the most pleasant shower-time association. Also one of the most potent aromatherapeutic essentials, rosemary profoundly affects memory, so that many florists mix it into bridal bouquets for the sake of making the whole day more memorable. Of course, then, rosemary associates with wedding and marriage; you decide what to do with that connection. Meanwhile, take advantage of rosemary's germicide, anti-oxidants, detoxifiers, and nutrients to make your hair and scalp feel and look terrific.

It is a universal fact that no one likes to go out with messy hair; therefore we can say that hair having volume really boosts up the confidence and personality of anyone. Shinier and hair in good health are always admired by others and can make anyone feel on top of the world. But having healthier and shinier hair is not that easy as everyone has to take care of hair in order to grab the attention of everyone around.

Following is a brief hair care guide for different types of hair:

It has been revealed from several researches that sugary stuff is the biggest cause, responsible for damaging the hair therefore use of cookies, sweets, cakes and chocolates should be minimized. A balanced and well planned diet must be taken in the form of fruits and vegetables. In take of water must be increased if you really want to have perfect health.

People having curly hair must use conditioner and shampoo which must be having moisturizer in it. Curly ones are very difficult to handle, therefore after taking a bath let your curly hair dry themselves and later on these should be detangled with fingers. On curly hair use of a hair dryer must be avoided because use of a dryer can make the hair appear rough and dehydrated.

People having straight ones are fortunate as they can opt for any kind of style but straight hair also requires a great deal of attention and care. Straight hair gathers excessive oil in the scalp due to which they appears dull. Excessive oil can be avoided by using a cleansing shampoo on daily basis and clarifying gel for weekly use. Like wise wavy ones also require a good conditioner and a good shampoo but make sure that usage of clear shampoo must be avoided on wavy hair as clear shampoo can make the wavy hair dry and they become difficult to handle.

Most importantly people having thin hair must avoid using comb on wet hair as this can damage them and can weaken the roots of the hair. Hair products should be always selected according to the type or texture, besides daily use of shampoos must be avoided as they contain several chemicals which can cause harm to the hair as well as scalp.

People are becoming more savvy when they go to the store to buy beauty and health care products for their personal use. There are many news reports, and magazine articles that are educating, and warning shoppers about the dangerous and toxic chemicals that are included in the products that they buy. It has been said over and over again, that if people only knew what they were putting on their bodies, they'd run for cover. Companies think nothing of using chemicals in their hair and skin products that under normal circumstances would cause serious injury to the internal organs, or even worse! Why do these companies use such harmful chemicals? Simply because companies are in business to make money. A business can make money in one of few ways. One way that they make money is to sell as much product as possible. Another way that companies make money is to save as much money as possible to manufacturer a product. So on the one hand, if companies can sell as much products as possible, they will earn revenues that way. On the other hand, if the companies can sell a product at a higher profit margin than it took to make that product, they will earn profit margins in that way also. Using this model, there are a lot of companies out there that use heavy chemicals. These chemicals are cheap to produce, and therefore make the cost of happinesslifetime.com hair care products cheap to produce. Cheap products mean that more products can be sold for more profits.

This may anger some consumers that they are being taken advantage of by beauty manufacturers. They shouldn't take this fact personally. In fact, there is something that they can do about this sad fact. They can throw out all of their cheaply produced products, and start investing in products that are going to be healthier for them to use. For example, when it comes to their hair products, a consumer can buy eco friendly hair products. Eco friendly hair products are hair products that don't contain toxic chemicals. They will often times have seals or markings that show that the products are cruelty-free. This means that no animals were harmed in the testing of these types of products.

greenhomedelights.com Eco friendly hair products can consist of shampoos, conditioners, and even hair color. Eco friendly hair products will be gentler, and kinder not only to your hair, but to your bloodstream. How would an eco friendly hair product be kind to your bloodstream? It's because the hair is attached to the scalp. The scalp is a form of skin. Our skin absorbs anything that it comes in contact with. This means that harmful chemical can seep into your skin. While you might not die, you might suffer allergic reactions, respiratory problems, headaches, and a host of other health symptoms. This is your body's way of telling you that something isn't right, or that something doesn't belong. Eco friendly hair products are designed to work in harmony with your body.

So, ditch those harmful hair products right away! Be kind to your hair and your body. Buy eco friendly hair products, and take steps to respect your hair and your peace of mind.

There are so many contradictory stories as to when, where and how the hair straightener was invented, some suggest it was as recently as the 1960's when women used a conventional iron to flatten their hair and others propose that it was as far back as 1872 when a Parisian named Marcel Grateau - who is better known for inventing the permanent wave, curling iron and later the Gillette safety razor - created a tong-like device that could double up as a straightener.

This said, one of the first recognised implements used to straighten the hair was called the 'Straightening Comb', promoted by Madam C.J Walker an American hair-care manufacturer in the early 1900's, which looked like a pair of pliers with steel teeth. The implement would be heated on a stove and then pulled through the hair until the heat dispersed; the process would be repeated until all the hair was straightened. From the outset the straightening comb was used by African-Americans, but as time passed its results were sought after by others and new methods and materials were sought after.

Aluminium and steel were used on early straighteners before the invention of the electric hair straightener or hair irons that we all know and love today.

The accolade of creating the first electric iron has been claimed by BaByliss, another globally recognised electrical hair care manufacturer, but the first electrical straightener is shrouded in more mystery. However, it can be assumed that with similar technology the straightener would have been created at a similar time. Initial electric straighteners used simple technology and contained a filament that would heat up surrounding metal plates. These would then be pulled through sections of hair, the problem with these irons were that they didn't achieve enough heat to give a lasting style which leads us to 2001...

Perhaps the most prolific brand of straighteners are the ghd ceramic hair straighteners, launched in 2001 initially in the UK, by the Yorkshire based, British-owned company. It is claimed that Martin Penny, founder of ghd, was shown some styling irons that he had been sent by a South Korean inventor and suggested he buy the rights. Since then ghd typically turnover more than £115m, and have released a range of high-profile limited edition straighteners, namely their annual Pink Limited Edition straighteners which promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Many people ask if there is one universal cure for hair loss. Doctors and other specialists will tell you that the cure for hair thinning problems vary from case to case, but we believe that there is one universal cure for hair thinning and that cure is "Knowledge."

Have you heard of the saying that prevention is better than cure? There is a lot of truth in this saying, because preventing baldness is infinitely easier than replacing all the lost strands of hair on your head. This is where knowledge comes along.

Making sure that you are aware of the causes for alopecia or hair thinning is a very good cure for baldness. This is especially true because there are a lot of causes or reasons why you may be suffering from excessive hair thinning.

Some receding hair problems are caused by hormonal imbalance, sickness and stress on the body. The cure for hair loss when it comes to these causes is mainly to consult a doctor who can drill down to the root of the problem. After all, finding out what particular hormone or sickness you have is not something that you can do on your own.

There is no quiz or check list that you need to do which will lead you to the right answer. Most of the time the doctor will have to run certain tests on you before they can determine which cure for hair loss is the one that is best for you.

Studies have shown that baldness can also be self inflicted. Most self inflicted causes of hair thinning are hair and scalp negligence or over styling of the hair. The best cure for hair loss if you are the one who is causing it on yourself is to be informed with the proper hair care practices that will literally keep your hair on your head.

When it comes to self-inflicted causes, as I like to refer to them, the best cure for hair loss is definitely knowledge. Knowing what styling products and habits affect hair loss will help you avoid them.

Most studies have shown that the self inflicted factors that cause thinning hair can be as simple as a tightly wound up pony tail to an allergic reaction to a hair product or treatment. These things can be easily avoided if you just keep yourself informed and if you consult a hair care specialist who knows what's best for you and your hair.

Do you really want to cure your hair problems?

If you're not yet aware of the health benefits that hemp can offer you, then you're in for a treat. You may or may not know that hemp is great when used in skin creams and lotions, or anything else revolved around rejuvenating your skin. But on top of that, hemp products are fantastic for hair care, specifically hemp shampoo.

If you suffer from a dry scalp, feel that your hair has taken a battering over the years or simply want a shampoo that you know is completely beneficial to your hair, then read on to find out why hemp hair products are a must:

Improve Your Scalp: If you suffer from a dry and flaky scalp - or even if you find your scalp is itchy or irritated simply from time to time - then hemp shampoo may be exactly what you need. Just like it benefits skin on the rest of your body, hemp can nourish, moisturize and rejuvenate your scalp leaving it healthy and flake free. Hemp actually increases your skins capacity to retain moisture, so while other products tend to offer minimal results on the "surface", hemp works deep into your pores.

Reverse Hair Damage: Let's face it, your hair has likely taken a beating over the years, be it from the continual use of hair products, gels, sprays, bleaching, coloring and dying, is it any wonder that your hair can suffer? Hemp shampoos will contain many natural oils and essential fatty acids such as alpha-linolenic acid, Omega 3 and gamma Linolenic acid. These are great at restoring the damage that has been caused by the harsh chemicals and excessive use of hair products and will not only leave your hair and scalping looking healthier, but they actually will be healthier.

Healthier Hair: As mentioned, after using hemp shampoos your hair will not only appear healthier, but literally will be healthier. The hemp seed oils are great for actually nourishing and repairing your hair, leaving it not only cleansed and smelling fresh, but literally stronger and repaired.

All Natural Ingredients: It's amazing - or disturbing - how many unnecessary and potentially harmful chemicals are used in most shampoos available. Do you really want to be applying these harsh chemicals to your hair and scalp? Good hemp hair products will consist of only the best and necessary natural ingredients ensuring your hair is looked after for the long term.

As you can see, hemp shampoo has so much to offer over regular hair shampoo. If you're not happy with the results you're currently getting from the shampoo you use, and especially if you suffer from a dry or irritated scalp, then see for yourself what hemp can achieve. But even if you don't suffer any particular health conditions related to your hair, if you're serious about giving your hair the best treatment possible, then hemp shampoos are the way to go. Witness for yourself the benefits of hemp, you'll likely never look back.

During the winter season, it can get so frigidly cold in some parts of the world that we need to bundle up with hats, gloves and scarves to keep warm. But did you know that your scarf or hat could wreak havoc on your human hair replacement system?

Just like sleeping on a standard cotton or flannel pillowcase, a fuzzy, knitted or crocheted wool or cotton hat can really damage your hair. The short, prickly fibers catch and pull on your hair replacement system causing, knotting, tangling and breakage. Those fibers will also absorb moisture from the hair causing it to dry out. Expect the same results if you repeatedly tie a fuzzy, knitted cotton or wool scarf around your head.

For most of us wearing partial hair replacement systems, a scarf around the neck is not such a big problem. If you still have your own naturally growing hair at the nape of your neck, your scarf will rub on your biological hair as opposed to your hair system. That being said, you need to assess whether or not it's a good idea for you to wear a scarf made with a cotton or wool fiber if your biological hair is unable to create a decent barrier between the scarf and your hair system.

So does this mean we are destined to freeze all winter? Of course not! Here are some quick tips to stay warm and protect your hair replacement system:

How to Choose a Proper Hat

Choose hats that are lined with satin, polyester, acetate or acrylic. Many "newsboy", "ivy"or "military cadet" style hats are.
Choose hats that are woven and not knitted or crocheted. This allows for less nooks and crannies for your hair to get caught in.
Stay away from fuzzy fibers. If the hat is fuzzy, your hair soon will be too.
If you're not ready to retire your favorite knitted wool bobble hat, at least purchase some satin fabric and sew a lining in it or wear a satin cap underneath your wool hat to protect your hair.

How to Choose a Proper Scarf

Choose scarves that are smooth and made with long fibers or synthetic fibers such as silk, satin, polyester, acetate or acrylic.
Stay away from fuzzy fibers. They're really not good for your growing hair either.

As you can see, minor adjustments can protect your hair and keep you warm in winter months.

Bonus Tip:

Don't forget, just as cold air dries out our skin, it can contribute to dry hair. Warm air from our home and car heaters can cause further drying and static. Also, you'll likely be taking warmer showers during the colder months. Hot water will dry your hair out even more.

So, during the cold season in your particular location, do not overlook the fact that daily conditioning is of paramount importance. Consider conditioning with rinse out conditioner on a daily basis. Keep the water warm instead of hot during rinsing, or continue to use a cool rinse if you can handle the chill for a minute or two. And of course, use leave-in conditioner at least once or twice daily to keep your hairpiece hydrated.

If you are one of those who get their hair cut regularly, then you are probably familiar with a thinning shear. This kind of hair scissor, usually used by hairstylist, is technically designed to give hair an extra flair and texture. The sole purpose of the use of a thinning shear is to thin out the hair and remove the extra bulk for a finer look without having to cut it down. Most hairstylists go for known quality brands of thinning shears like Bonica shears. Using a good quality shear will help achieve a better look.

Thinning shears are pretty much similar to a regular scissor; the only difference is that instead of ordinary blades, it has toothed blades that resemble a comb. It is mainly used to shape and thin hair without having to modify the style. The toothed blades generate uneven cuts creating a more textured look. People who have thick hair usually use shears to thin down their hair for a lesser bulk. It is also commonly used by hairstylist when layering the hair.

With the right tool in hand, you can thin your hair on your own; here are simple steps that could come in handy.

o To thin out long and thick hair, smoothly comb your hair. Divide the hair into smaller sections as it will be much easier for you to work in small sections; start by working on the first section. Slide the shear somewhere between 1/3 or half way along the length from the scalp, create a single snip then remove. Next get a comb and start removing excess hair that has been cut by combing the whole area. After which, go to the next section and repeat the process.

o If you have to go back to the previous section of hair, repeat the same procedure; this time only make a snip 1/3 away from the ends of the hair. This is done to taper the fullness of hair. Always create uniform cuts and never make any unnecessary thinning since it will give the hair a scanty look. If you have to thin out your hair the third time, pass through the middle part of the hair.

o Remember to invest in high grade quality shears; one recommended brand of thinning shears is Bonica shears. Ensuring that you are using a good quality thinning shear will get the job done easier and faster and the result will be amazing.

o To create modish looking bangs, use the thinning shear half way down the hair shaft. If you just want to put an added texture on the ends of your bangs, all you have to do is to create a snip on the ends of the bangs.

These are just some of the simple, quick and easy to follow steps that will guide you in effectively thinning out your hair. But it will still be best if this will be done by a professional stylist, you will be ensured to achieve a better looking hairstyle. Moreover, hairstylists are equipped with only the best thinning shears like Bonica shears which is a very important tool to perfectly thin out the hair for a more textured and edgy look. Grab one and come out with the same professional style you get in a salon.

You think that you have your hair under control, but the moment you step out, every hair strand goes into a totally different direction. No matter how hard you try to comb your hair, the strands never go back to their original position. In fact, they only get worse.

A lot of women-and some of the men-fight frizzy hair. But that doesn't mean there's really nothing that can be done. These tips don't guarantee that they will work for you, but so far, they are the ones that provide great results for many.

Don't cut your hair extremely short. If your hair tends to be frizzy, it's a good idea if you don't keep it very short, like a bob cut. This way, you don't get to emphasize your hair condition. You don't look like you're wearing a gigantic Afro wig.

Avoid rubbing objects into your hair. One of the primary reasons why your hair frizzes is it loses moisture. It dries up. Hair needs at least 8 percent moisture to avoid frizzing. You should also avoid having split ends. To accomplish that, you should avoid rubbing objects into your hair. For example, after your bath time, don't rub towels but just squeeze the water out. If you're combing, make sure you can do it slowly. Avoid moving the teeth back and forth, as if you're almost wounding your scalp. This will only create plenty of split ends. If your hair is entangled, you can untangle them using your fingers. Don't force. Just do it slowly.

Keep your hair moisturized. Reduce the use of shampoos, especially those that contain synthetic ingredients. They tend to deplete moisture and other essential oils from the hair. Instead, apply conditioners, which smooth the hair. If possible, look for happinesslifetime.com hair care products that contain natural ingredients, particularly keratin, which is the protein for hair, and vitamins like E.

Reduce the use of too much happinesslifetime.com hair care products. Do you know that gels and mousses can actually make your hair situation a lot worse? That's why you need to limit their use. Bottom line is to give your hair the opportunity to breathe. These products can actually block the pores where natural oils come out. Avoid those that contain alcohol, as it usually aggravates the problem.

Look for anti-frizz products. There are also happinesslifetime.com hair care products that are designed to prevent or reduce frizzing. They usually have the ability to lock in moisture into the hair so the strands remain in control.

Don't blow-dry. Blow-drying definitely removes a lot of moisture into your hair, and if your hair is already susceptible to freezing, then there's no way you can control the strands' movements. If you are going to be very busy in the morning, consider washing your hair at night, so you can have a lot of time to dry it (don't sleep while your hair is wet, though). You can just allow it to dry freely and naturally too.

Accept your hair. One of the best ways to deal with frizzy hair is to accept it, especially if it's part of who you are. You can use subliminal messages to help yourself become more accepting to it. You can look for affirmations that talk about self-acceptance or inner beauty.
